​The Rural Economic Development Initiative (REDI) program, presented by the Tougaloo College Research and Development Foundation, supports rural communities and diversifies local economies.  The REDI program is:

  • A free, twelve-week business development training program
  • An information resource for access to capital
  • Open to Mississippi business owners and prospective business owners
  • Eligible to businesses located in Adams, Claiborne, Jefferson and Wilkinson counties ​
While there is no cost for participants, online registration and completion of
​an online Business Assessment are requirements for participation.  


Traditionally under-represented businesses are strongly encouraged to apply.
 Applications are accepted through January 5, 2023.
